What should I do if the power adapter fails?

Update Time:2019-05-14
Do you have a sense of security? A sense of security, like the number of remaining power; when the battery is only 20% left, it panics and starts to be anxious. Obviously, the device has been connected to charge, but it indicates that the battery is low. What should I do if the power adapter fails? Today, Shenzhen Lianyun Electronic will introduce some common power adapter failures and corresponding solutions.

When you are using the power adapter, do you encounter the following faults: the adapter cannot properly charge the device, the LED light does not illuminate during charging, and an error message is displayed when connecting - the adapter type cannot be determined.

In the case of the above problems, you can try the following steps to diagnose: first remove the power adapter from the socket and notebook, check the adapter cable and port for physical damage or signs of overheating. And if the pins in the port are bent, cracked, or damaged. If it is damaged, stop using it and replace it.

Then check if the socket is working properly. Use the other available power adapters to exchange tests on the outlets, or try the adapter to try another known available outlet to see if it works. If the outlet is normal, proceed to the next step. Remove the adapter from the socket and the computer, remove all peripherals from the computer, and remove the battery.

Then press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds to release the residual power of the device. Reconnect the adapter, install the battery, and restart the computer. If the problem persists after putting static electricity, you can check if the USB-C charger is connected to the correct USB-C port that allows charging and data transfer.

Next, remove the adapter from the socket and the computer and reconnect the power cord to the adapter. Check to see if the LED light is on. If it is not lit, try a compatible, well-known adapter. Once you have disconnected and reconnected the power cord and AC adapter cable, proceed to the next step.

Looking at the wattage of the power adapter, using a lower power AC adapter may display an error message that slows down the processor (CPU) or causes the computer battery to become uncharged or slow to charge or to make the AC adapter hot. After completing the above steps, you can basically check out what went wrong.
